WANAKA, SOUTH ISLAND, NEW ZEALAND

The Southern Alps near Wanaka are host to an impressive array of game animals including red and fallow deer, chamois and tahr. The deer are found in the wild, as well as working farms. This photo was taken on a crisp winter’s day at Criffle Station, a rural Wanaka deer station surrounded by mountains.
