The Kauaeranga Kauri Trail (Pinnacles Walk) in Coromandel is one of New Zealand’s true hidden treasures. The steep, rugged and majestic hike follows the original steps constructed for pack horses which carried supplies for kauri loggers, gum diggers and gold miners who plundered the area in the early 1900’s.  Once at the top, the views are breathtaking, no matter the weather.
