WAIREPO ARM, LAKE RUATANIWHA, NEW ZEALAND

Wairepo Arm always catches my eye when I pass through Canterbury to Otago, it always seems to be perfectly calm and highlights the beauty of the seasons so effortlessly. The Wairepo Arm is connected to Lake Ruataniwha which is an artificial lake created as part of the Waitaki Hydro Scheme. This lake lies on the boundary of Canterbury and Otago Provinces with the town of Twizel 2km north.
