Coromandel

Pōhutukawa lean out over the water the whole length of the Coromandel Peninsula, and by January they're in flower, turning the coastline red for a few short weeks. Cathedral Cove gets the tour buses. This work looks for what's just past them: native bush, empty bays, the ordinary version of paradise.
